Am I booking a private transfer/tour, just for us?

Yes, your booking with Roadtripz is solely for you and will be unique to you. You can choose timings that best work for you, giving you the freedom to devise a flexible itinerary that suits your pace and your interests and can be altered or built upon, even on the day.

What is the maximum number of passengers I can book for?

The maximum number for one booking is 4 passengers. However, on special request, we can accommodate an additional 2 passengers in the back of the car, but with reduced legroom and reduced luggage space.

Are your prices per person or per vehicle?

All the prices quoted are per vehicle. Parking charges, airport drop-off fees, and London Congestion Charges are all included. However, any entrance fees to attractions and places of interest are not included.

What vehicle will we be traveling in?

We use a premium Land Rover Discovery 5, which offers a smooth, safe, and comfortable ride. It has leather seats and is air-conditioned. With large windows and 2 panoramic sunroofs, it allows for maximum enjoyment of the surroundings.

How much luggage can you accommodate?

Our Land Rover Discovery can accommodate a large amount of luggage for 4 passengers (typically 4 large suitcases and 4 carry-ons). If you have any requests or concerns, do get in touch with us to discuss this. We have the option to use a roof box or trailer as required when pre-arranged with us.

When is my booking confirmed?

Rest assured, your tour/transfer with Roadtripz is fully confirmed at the point of booking. We will however keep in contact with you to discuss arrangements as your booking date approaches and we welcome enquiries and questions at any point.

What is your cancellation policy?

All bookings are fully refundable up to the time of the event. However, if you know that your plans have changed, we do appreciate any advance notice you can give us.

What is the best way to communicate with us on the day?

Having a mobile phone number through which we can connect with you via messages or WhatsApp is important so that pick-up arrangements or any delays etc can be discussed.

What about entrance tickets into visitor attractions?

Often, we find it simplest and more flexible to purchase entrance tickets on the day. However, on certain days and in certain places it might be advisable to book tickets in advance. It really depends on the venue and the time of year. We are happy to offer information and advice on this.

Do you provide food/refreshments?

No, but bottled water is supplied in the car. However, there is ample opportunity to stop along the way to purchase any food of your choice, from coffee to market stalls, supermarket, or a pub lunch. We can find a restroom whenever necessary.

How do I make a payment on the day?

Don’t worry, there are various ways that you can make your payment. We can take card payments on the day, in the car using our card machine. We accept cash (£Sterling, US$ or Euros). Or we can send you a payment link or invoice with our bank transfer details, on or after the day.

Accessibility?

We want you to be comfortable traveling with us; do let us know at the time of booking if you have any special requirements or needs. We’re sorry that we can’t accommodate a fixed wheelchair, however a collapsible wheelchair or mobility scooter should be fine, but please let us know. Our tours could include short walks on uneven ground or cobblestones, and some historical sites may have access restrictions. Everything is optional and we can advise; you're welcome to do as much or as little as you please.

Do you offer tours in different languages?

No, I’m afraid I’m a local and only speak English, although I will have a go at a little Spanish or French! However, we welcome people from all over the world.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, our company, vehicle, and driver are licensed by our local authority. These checks also cover insurance and public liability.

Who will my driver be?

Your driver will be Robert Hodson. We are a small, family business based in a village in West Sussex. On occasion, if an extra support vehicle is needed Lizzie, his wife also helps with the trips and admin/questions.
